Dakota Layers state-of-the art facility consists of five bird houses, two manure barns and a processing plant. We house over 1 million hens and sell over 22 million eggs per year.

The land consists of 155 acres. Dakota Layer's state-of-the-art facility consists of five bird houses, two manure barns and a processing plant. Each house, measuring 52 feet by 520 feet, can hold up to approximately 225,000 birds. An internal manure containment system is located on the site of the hen house. The processing plant takes up approximately 24,750 square feet of processing space. Additional hen houses may be built in the futue.

We house approximately 1.16 million hens and sold approximately 22 million dozen eggs in 2005. Commercial laying hens produce approximately 264 eggs per year, or 22 dozen eggs.
